1:45pm Shotgun

Join us for the annual Member-Member Event at Abbey Springs (not to be confused with the Member-Guest later in July), featuring the exciting Pinehurst Format! This event is open to all unit owners, public members, and men's league members.
📋 Format: Pinehurst (Modified Alternate Shot)

• Both players tee off on each hole.
• Switch balls for the second shot—each player plays their partner’s drive.
• Select the best ball after the second shot.
• From the third shot onward, the team alternates hitting that ball until it is holed.

• Gross & Net scoring (handicap strokes will be applied for net scoring).
• Flights may be created based on participation and handicaps to ensure fair competition.
• Handicaps: All participants must have an established handicap to be eligible for net prizes.

4:30pm (Schedule Your Tee Time)

Join us for a fun-filled evening at the Abbey Springs Firecracker Open! This 9-hole Par 3 challenge is open to all ages and skill levels, making it a perfect way to celebrate the Fourth of July with family and friends.

• Format: 9-hole Par 3 Challenge – Each hole will be set up at 135 yards or less.
• Tee Times: Starting at 4:30 PM (Reserve your spot in advance).

Abbey Springs invites all owners and members, ages 50 & under, to an exclusive event designed for fun and connection.  Enjoy a relaxed 9-hole round of golf with fellow members, followed by appetizers and drinks. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and build connections within the Abbey Springs community. Feel free to come solo or bring your significant other along for a great time

4pm Consecutive Times

Abbey Springs invites families to a fun and engaging 9-hole alternate shot tournament.
This event features two-person teams, pairing Juniors (ages 16 & under) with an accompanying adult (parent, grandparent, or relative). It’s a fantastic way for younger golfers to bond with family members while enjoying a relaxed round of golf. The format is alternate shot, where players take turns hitting the same ball until it’s holed out.
Open to all Abbey Springs owners, golf members, their relatives, and friends. Tee times will be scheduled as participants call in.
Free for those with golf memberships.  Entry fee for non-golf members is $60 per team. We encourage everyone to join, regardless of skill level—this event is all about fun, family, and friendly competition

Join us for the 2025 Abbey Springs Club Championship, a two-day competition to crown this year’s best! This premier event will test your skills across 36 holes of stroke play, with champions awarded in multiple divisions.
 
Event Details:

• Format: 36-Hole Stroke Play
• Who Can Participate: Open to all golf members and unit owners.
• Format: 36-hole individual stroke play (18 holes each day).
• Tee Times: Start at 8:30am each day.

8:30am Shotgun

Join us for an exciting one-day event as we host the Abbey Springs Ryder Cup Challenge! This fun and competitive event will feature a 6-6-6 format, where each participant will compete in three different formats: Scramble, Alternate Shot, and Best Ball.
Event Details:

• Date: Tuesday, August 19
• Time: 8:30 AM Shotgun Start
• Format:
  • First 6 holes: Scramble format (teams of two)
  • Next 6 holes: Alternate Shot format (teams of two)
  • Final 6 holes: Best Ball format (individual play)
• Team Assignment: Teams will be fairly assigned based on handicaps to ensure competitive play.
• Lunch: After the round, join us in the Golfers Grille for a delicious lunch to wrap up the event.
• Duration: Golf will take approximately 4 to 4.5 hours.
• Entry Fee: TBD

This event is open to all Abbey Springs golf members. A great opportunity to enjoy some friendly competition and camaraderie with fellow members.

12:45pm Shotgun

Abbey Springs’ annual Member/Guest event is one of the most anticipated golf tournaments of the year. This beloved tradition provides a fun and competitive environment for members to showcase the Abbey Springs Experience to their guests, while enjoying a day full of camaraderie, great golf, and delicious food.
Event Details:

• Date: Wednesday, August 27
• Shotgun Start: 12:45 PM
• Format: Shamble with a Twist
• Entry: Open to all Unit Owners, golf members, and their guests. Men and women are welcome. Limit of one guest per owner/member.

• Shamble Format
  Both players will tee off on every hole. After the tee shots, the team selects the best shot, and both players will play their own balls to the hole. The best score of the two will be recorded for each hole.
• The Twist: Random Holes
  On 6 randomly selected holes, we’ll discard the better score and count the worse score for the team. This adds an element of strategy and excitement, as players will need to stay focused and work together to avoid the worse score on those key holes.

• After the golf, we will gather for the Famous Crab Leg Dinner at 5:45 PM, where everyone can enjoy some great food and share stories from the day.

One of our most popular events of the season, Friday Niners is a couples' “Nine & Dine” event held on select Friday afternoons.
Designed for a relaxed and social atmosphere, this event offers 9 holes of fun golf with a creative game, followed by a delicious dinner at the Yacht Club across the street. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy quality time with your significant other and connect with other couples (singles with a significant other are also welcome).
Exclusively for Abbey Springs owners and members.

Format:  18 Hole Matches – Match Play
Tees:  Combo Tees
Handicap:  Full Handicaps will be used
 
This Match Play Tournament is open to all Abbey Springs Owners and Members. Participants will compete in a season-long match play competition, advancing through a tournament bracket with each match play victory.
Match Scheduling:
 

• Each round must be completed by the deadlines listed below.
• If both players agree, matches may be scheduled on an earlier date (excluding Men’s League play).
• If a match is not completed by the deadline, the player unable to attend the scheduled Wednesday event will be eliminated.
• If neither player can attend the event date or arrange an earlier match, both will be disqualified.
